loss

Today’s got a certain tinge of sadness to it;  we finally put the beloved Chevy K10 up for sale.

To some, it’s known as USA-1, but it’s better characterized by my friend Bill, who refers to it simply as The Lord Jesus.  A 350 V8 through a straight-pipe exhaust does sound a little like the second coming.  Many a freedom ride (usually involves running over something or knocking something down) has been achieved thanks to this beast, and the big boy has served us well this summer as the primary force of rowdiness in our lives.  It’s also served us beer, as you may be able to see from the on-board draught system.

Alas, freedom isn’t free, and now it’s time to pay the hefty f****** fee.  Except someone will be paying us the fee, actually.  Maybe it will be you!  15mpg hwy/9 city/3 farm.
